You are tired of wasting your time to stand about at an elementary level?
If you answer YES to this question, it's time for you to join my students.

Listen: the truth is that most students who want to learn French do not intend to write a novel in French, or to act on a French stage:
they want to understand and be understood.
Until recently, there was nothing for them.

Dear Student,

Here is the story. My name is Gabrielle Guichard, and I am a French teacher with years of pratice. I am also a wife, a writer and a professional reader.

Today, I am over 56, I have successful students around the world, and receive more invitations and cards than I can reply to.
I teach using an effective method, and my students take advantage of it.

But it was not always that way. Back in my mid-forties, my spirits were absolutely horrible.

On the surface, my life appeared perfect. I had a happy family life, taught in a highly-sought-after high school. Flourishing private tuitions almost doubled my income.

But little by little, the disappointment, almost despair, had begun to wear me down. Teaching was not as rewarding as I had thought; at that time, I did not receive grateful cards.
My students did not do worse than others, but they did not do better either, despite my efforts, and theirs, for they were not third-class students in some quota program.
Yet, I followed the official course of study step by step.
(At that time, I did not know that it was a large part of the problem.)

I felt sad. Rather than giving up, I kicked myself into high gear. I put up websites, for my students to be able to revise whatever point that confused them.
Then, I resumed my studies, thinking that a master in French literature might not be enough and that I could improve my teaching with a degree in French linguistics.

My students' results did not improve. I started wondering if I should not take up another career.

One morning, I arrived in the classroom earlier than usual. Two girls were there, struggling with their English homework. They asked for my help about a point I thought a no-brainer. I took their textbook, and read the page.

What a ha-ha moment!

In no time I understood not only why French students did so poorly in foreign languages, but more importantly, why my foreign students, using a very similar method, could not do well in French.

It was not me

It was not my students

It was the METHOD

The academic teaching aims at bringing 100% of the results.
That's the very reason why so many people fail:
it's 100% or nothing!

All of a sudden, I felt tired no longer. I would not give up teaching!

Thanks to my beloved husband, I was able to improve my method for some years.
And now, it makes my happiness to help exhausted, stressed-out and almost desperate students finding the success they deserve.

And to do so with simple, practical solutions.

And those are the solutions I'd like to share with you.
They will ease and shorten your learning curve.

Why is my method an effective way to learn?
Because it leverages the 80/20 rule:
80% of your gain comes from 20% of your investments.
In other words: 20% of the effort brings 80% of the results.
The "Pareto principle" goes for learning a language as it goes for almost any human endeavor.

That's the method I use to teach through the internet.
Warning: Success Is Addictive!

In a year, I organize several courses, meant for various audiences.

UPDATE:
The Summer seminar for beginners is sold out.

I leave the information since most of it will be valid next time.

There will be 2 formulas:
A course for a small group (max 6 students) that will be priced around €1200.
A lecture for a larger group at a lower price: around €130.

There will be 2 schedules, in July or August:
4 hours a day for 10 week days
5 hours a day for 4 Saturdays and Sundays.

If you have suggestions or questions, feel free to post them before everything is decided:
OR IF YOU WANT TO BE ON THE WAITING LIST
French for beginners: suggestion box.

There is something I want to make perfectly clear: my courses are high quality courses, whatever the price. The difference (but it is a very important one) is that I cannot cater to more than 6 students at a time.
When you register to join a large group, you have to be responsible and dedicated. For example, I cannot make everyone repeat something difficult to pronounce, I cannot answer everyone's questions either.
So, this formula is a little more difficult to follow. But if you attend all the sessions and do what you are required, you will end getting by with 80% of French basics.
You will master 80% of the basics. Once for all.
You will be equipped with everything you need to go on learning on your own, to specialize in tourism, cooking or whatever your profession, to be confident when you speak French.
