Real and Virtual Moving
J'ai reçu une aide inattendue, et moyennement bienvenue, pour faire le jardin. Un chat. Il aurait pu venir gratter avant. Mais non, il préfère labourer juste là où j'ai fait mes semailles et exhumer les graines.
Pierre arrive à Santiago ce matin. Il va passer chez des amis, récupérer sa guitare qui l'attend depuis près de deux ans. Puis il va acheter deux places de bus, une pour lui et une pour la guitare, et faire 18 heures de bus -si le voyage se passe bien- pour arriver demain matin à Antofagasta.

Ce qu'il y a de bien, avec les déménagements virtuels, c'est qu'on ne risque pas de casser sa guitare ou les petits riens auxquels on tient. L'inconvénient, c'est qu'on n'a aucune chance de perdre la poupée de porcelaine de tante Emma ou l'affreux tableau d'oncle Bertrand.

Then, he is going to buy two bus seats, one for him and one for the guitar, and travel on the bus for 18 hours -if the journey goes off well- to arrive in Antofagasta tomorrow.

What is pleasant, with the virtual movings, is that you do not run the risk of breaking your guitar or the small bits and pieces you are fond of. The drawback is that you have no chance of losing Aunt Emma's China doll or Uncle Bertrand's ugly painting.
